But the history of what buffer chemistry was and how it has been used over the last few decades is interesting, particularly when one considers how important it is for engine performance in both of these instances. In both cases, the impact of buffer chemistry is so significant that it creates a real difference in the performance of an engine.The relationship between fuel delivery and fuel pressure through the fuel pump is an important one. This is because the fuel pump delivers fuel to the engine through a series of tubes which carry fuel in various fluid mixes. The different fluid mixtures may have varying amounts of the compounds which are needed to get the engine to run. And the amount of the components is also going to vary.Even in the case of a fixed engine, a change in the output pressure may occur over time due to the production runs and loads which occur as well as other variations which occur as a result of wear and cooling down. When the accelerator pedal is pushed to the floor, that doesn't mean that the pressure through the engine has dropped. It only means that the loads and production runs which occurred before that moment have eased off.Buffer chemistry can affect the distribution of the loads within the engine. In addition, the characteristics of the mixture of fluid can also vary. And this can be very useful in all of these situations, depending on what needs to be done with the valves and compressors to provide the correct range of operation.An efficient engine is going to be one which can operate at optimum efficiency and drive performance. So it is very important to understand what buffer chemistry is. And it's also very important to understand how it affects the operation of the various components in the engine.Buffer ch emistry is essentially a chemical reaction between the fuel (oxygen) and the air (nitrogen) as they flow through the compression strokes of the piston. There are actually two basic kinds of gas operations in any combustion chamber. The first type is called compression and the second is called expansion.Compression works well for all engines. This works to improve efficiency because of the way the piston compresses the gases. When the gases are allowed to expand they also produce more exhaust, so this helps to clear any excess gases from the combustion chamber. This also improves the efficiency of the engine because there is no longer the need to struggle to mix the gases when they come together at the top of the stroke.Expansion however requires the use of a gas lifter to operate dynamic valve control. With the gas lifter in operation, the valves will be able to remain closed after the engine has fired. However, during a fuel injection, when the piston comes back down and the camsha ft starts moving, the valves will be opened up to let the nitrous out of the exhaust. The valve work this way is called 'wave breaks'.
